CHAS, or the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme as it is known in its proper form, is a significant scheme promoting the benefits of effective Health and Safety within industries and business. The CHAS certification or certificate for accreditation is meant for consultants and contractors who apply for work with private and public sector organisations. The Accreditation Certificate is valid for a period of 12 months from the last date of assessment stating as compliant. Maintaining the certification requires the supplier to be assessed on an annual basis.

F-Gas
Ozone Depleting Substances are chemicals which can damage and deplete ozone within the earth’s ozone layer when released. The F-gas Regulations came into force on 1st January 2015. These Regulations are concerned with the phase down of F-gases and preventing their release into the atmosphere.
Engineers
All of our Engineers are DBS checked upon starting work for Ecotemp Environmental and are Qualified under F-Gas regulations to work on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. They hold valid CSCS where applicable and are trained to use scaffold towers and powered access equipment as and when needed. They also undergo continuous on and off-site training courses from health and safety, asbestos awareness and manufacturers training to make sure our engineers are always up to date with the latest equipment, legislation and techniques.
